The inverted breakfront shelf of this Bath stone chimney-piece is richly carved with a combination of leaf, egg and dart mouldings above a plain, raised central tablet. The opening is decorated with a repeat egg and dart moulding, flanked by elegantly scrolled volutes enriched with reel and bead ornament raised on plain blocks.
