A late Regency chimneypiece carved from the finest quality Statuary marble. The nicely moulded shelf above the frieze with inset fielded and reeded panel echoing the decoration on the jambs. The blockings with inset ovals carved with baskets of spring flowers including Lily-of-the-Valley, daffodils and peonies. The whole on squared blocks. Circa 1815 – 1820.
